Summary

The Social Media Manager role will be crucial to customer intelligence and branding and will function at the core of marketing. This role will develop annual and real-time strategies to support Gander Outdoors, Camping World, Overtons, and Good Sam as a collaborative team. The Community Manager will drive day-to-day engagement and will analyze social media data to consistently improve each brand's social media presence.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Develop annual strategy and plan as a collaborative team to include all content, paid social media and community engagement
  • Create strong, compelling content for each brand and partner with cross-functional merchandising teams to ensure relevancy
  • Engage in two-way conversations with customers on social media on a daily basis
  • Spearhead each brand’s social media presence to include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube
  • Partner with HR teams to ensure company branding across LinkedIn
  • Manage external social media agencies
  • Help to guide social media budget with strong accountability and spending efficiencies
  • Collaborate with design team to create visual assets for social media
  • Engage SEO manager to ensure online alignment
  • Partner with customer service team on any customer recovery needs on social media
  • Report and monitor social media insights and trends for all four organizations
  • Utilize social media for micro influencer marketing

 

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Complete other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Education/Years of Experience:

  • BA/BS in Communication, Marketing, English or relevant fields, with 4-7 years of experience in social media strategy and execution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Proficient in all social media platforms and familiar with listening and analytics tools
  • Strong writing background in content development
  • Proven ability to be able to present information to executive teams, educate organizations and influence decisions
  • Deep understanding of analytical insights and how they impact retail and online
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
